Cornwall Council Car parking charges suspended to help essential workers during Covid-19 pandemic

Cornwall Council have suspended car parking charges in Council owned car parks in order to help essential workers move more freely.

The payment suspension will be reviewed on a monthly basis. Members of the public are urged to remain at home in line with the government’s advice on Coronavirus.

Councillor Geoff Brown, portfolio holder for transport, said:

“Suspension of car park charges is another way Cornwall Council can aid essential workers get on with the business of helping others. This should not affect the general public as we should all be staying home in any case. We need residents to stay at home and stay safe."
